Hanna( Kim A-Joong) is the ghost singer for famous Korean pop idol Ammy. But in real life, she is made fun of because of her weight and appearance. Hanna is secretly in love with handsome music producer Sang-jun (Ju Jin-mo) and because of Ammy's malicious joke which leaves Hanna humiliated and heartbroken, she goes under the surgeon's knife to emerge as stunning Korean-American "discovery" Jenny, galvanizing Sang-jun and scuppering the vengeful Ammy's career. Ending is visible from six reels away, but Kim's charmingly sexy performance carries the day to the big solo concert finale, where home truths belatedly dawn.
There are some parts of the movie that left an impact...and a few sentences though not a major part of the show that i remembered..the part where a delivery man who liked 'Jenny' alot was filming her personal life and got caught by the producer..When the producer is dealing the 'stalker' harshly, 'Jenny' stood up for the man. "What's a person to do when all they can do is to watch from afar? Do you know what it feels like not being able to confess one's love? Can you understand that?" It feels quite xin suan to hear this..& something stirs inside me......
